Simple File Sharing—Anywhere, Anytime
aCabinet is a file-sharing program designed for members in under-served internet environments, where connectivity may be limited, slow, or intermittent. The system operates primarily through email, allowing asynchronous access to shared resources.
Managers upload files to an email account via the aCabinet website. Members then interact with this repository by sending email-based commands to retrieve files. Responses are typically delivered within 1 to 2 minutes.
Members can search for files using subject terms or categories, either by querying the directory from their device or by sending command emails. In many cases, these emails can be composed offline and sent automatically once a signal becomes available—making aCabinet especially useful in areas with limited online access.
The "a" in aCabinet stands for asynchronous, highlighting its core capability: enabling effective file sharing without requiring continuous internet connectivity.
How It Works
aCabinet uses a central email-powered "cabinet" of files organized by ID, categories, and title. Members interact with it via simple email commands and receive responses within 1–2 minutes.
No app. No login. Just email.
